Default 2012 GS Front - Back Camera possible

Just wondering if a front & back camera/screen is possible to retrofit on a GS coupe? I am not sure but I believe the Cadillac CTS V screen may be the same size and it might prevent front and rear damages.....not that it has ever happened! Anyone hae any ideas how this can be accomplished?

your head unit has the graphic capability of an 8 bit nintendo, even if you could get that retrofitted, would you want to? I seriously doubt it could display it properly. you're likely looking at a headunit replacement and a backup camera to make it happen, but I can't say for sure.

Most successful C6 camera installations seem to use a separate screen.

I've seen them mounted down near the existing nav screen, folding down by the driver's right knee, and replacing the mirror on the driver's sun visor.

I like that last idea best, because it keeps your head up and out of the car even while looking at the screen.

Larry, one of the racers at Etown has a C5 but he installed an aftermarket NAV radio in the car, and at the same time he bought a rear license plate frame that had a camera in it. It displays on the NAV screen when he puts it into reverse and even has the lines on it that shows you how close you are getting (he's trying to find the receipt of where he bought it from). In the front you can use a "curb alert" from forum vendors (or give me a call) that lets you know where you are at in the front.

I saw his post! It was a Kenwood unit I believe. Just wonder if a a/b switch could also be installed to switch between front and rear for the different parking situations that may arise.
On another subject, I did see the car on eBay. I guess I could install various parts to get the same look as Thomas Classic's car, but would end up with a project car which I have sworn to my better half I would not do! The owner of Thomas is working with the Chevy dealer and has not heard back from them on if they'd do it. Sounds like there may be more cost to me to have it done.
Have a good trip to the shore and good look to your wife! I heard some casinos were closing due to the crummy economy.......

I like the sun visor screen thought, but what would I do without a mirror to look at my balding scalp!!!!

I use the mirror to count my remaining hairs. It gets easier every year.

I believe CF member "LV2tour" has the sunvisor mirror screen.

Someone also posted about using a Camaro mirror that also functioned as a screen when in Reverse, but IIRC it was not a simple installation.
