dash rattle
has anybody had a dash rattle that they have fixed, have a 05 and have been searching and tightening any thing I could but squeak continue,s, sounds like its near wind shield area. both left, right and center. depending on the bump.

Latches?
The front latches have rollers with pins and the rollers can slide back and forth side ways making noise that seems to come from a different part of the car. If latches have not been replaced, you can use "E" clips and I believe they are 5/32" and can be bought at Lowes or Home Depot in hardware section for a few bucks. You do not have to take roof off, just loosen and slide clips in with a small screw driver to push them in (Don't drop them, can be hard to find). It also good to lube top with silicone spray, might take two coatings to get in all cracks such as windows on indexing. Also make sure the hook latch is tight and compresses the halo seal to help keep the top from pivoting and latch the "J" hook first before the front latches. Try it, you might be surprised. Also take a credit card or something similar and run along the inside of the windshield between the glass and plastic molding around the glass, should be NO binding, if not, you might have to insert some felt, etc. to prevent rubbing.
