How To: Replace windshield frame.
Alright so I have a brand new windshield frame that needs to be installed on a 2007 Corvette Z06. Car has a bent frame on the passenger side top corner of the windshield. I have a new one to replace it with. Is there any tricks or tips anyone knows to removing the glue that holds it to the main frame? Any input is much appreciated. I also did a search and could not come up with anything. Thanks in advance.

I've did the replacement... There's some jobs to do yourself then there's jobs for the pros. I'd pony up the couple of hours of frame time and let the pro's do this one. Too important.

I posted for a friend and hes been doing mechanical and body work for years. It is coming along fine just really slow. The glue is a pita! I will try to get some pics tmw.

I've removed a few for resale so I was very careful not to bend the frame during removal. After removal the bolts I was able to get a bite on the lower edge of the jam section and apply a little lift pressure with a floor jack. Then using torch heat applied to the bottom section and going up the bonding adhesive popped and came loose. It's noisy and sounds like something is really getting messed up but like I said I was removing them to resell. You probably don't have to bee that careful with your during removal.
