I am assuming your car is an 06-08. First thing you need to do is fix the P1516 code that is your major problem. Codes C0242 and C0561 are caused the by the P1516 code. Code C0161 just indicates the brake pedal was being applied when it wasn't expected. This could be due to a problem with the pedal sensor or maybe you were driving with your feet on the accelerator and the brake at the same time.

The problem with the short descriptions you have with the codes is they are too short.

I am attaching a summary of the codes so you can see the relationship between the three.

Wow, I would love to know the source of these great code descriptions. Do you have a PDF for all possible codes on the vette? I've got a 2011 if it makes a difference. Thanks!

I would quote more people's comments but i dont know how to do it on multiple pages.

I am going to get the car checked out after hearing everything that has been said, i took it to the shop once a while back and they said the problem could be numerous things and they kind of went based on how the car actually ran, which was fine, and they sent me on my way. Which makes sense, the check engine lights had all left by the time i took it to the shop and the car ran good. Its almost like i need to bring that sumbich in with all the check engine lights on and with real symptoms (like in limp mode).

Butdearborn, that is some good information. Now that you say that i do recall about 4 seconds after a race the car said "service ABS". It went away after a few seconds and never returned. I had to brake hard due to some minor traffic so that might have caused this.

Last night something really strange happened. The entire car wanted to die on me as i left the house. Every light in the car flickered like it wanted to go out. I mean the dashboard, the floor lights, the *****, everything. And after like 30 seconds the car ran like it was brand new.

Did it all start after the engine work? Maybe a loose connector somewhere from that to one of the sensors or in a harness.

Check the battery condition and connections. Seems like there are many problems traced back to that.

At startup your car is reading 18+ volts which is gonna fry many things in your electrical system. I assume that's why you are getting flickering interior lights and the headlights might be going off to protect themselves from the over voltage.

Based on everything you've said in this thread from traction control, to abs, limp mode, and now excessively high voltage at startup.... You absolutely need to take the car in to a competent Corvette technician ASAP who can fully diagnose what looks to be like a multitude of problems.

I think for the Z06 to get PTM it had have the Z07 option. 2012-13, not sure if Z07 was offered in 2011.

Tomorrow morning i plan to tow the car to the chevy dealer near my job. Id drive it but last time i drove it the car wanted to die on me. Felt scary. I will tinker with the battery first to make sure it isnt that. But most likely i will have it towed.

Okay. I didnt go to the chevy dealer after all and went to my normal mechanic. Turns out the alternator was bad. The voltage was spiking for some reason and was causing all these lights to come on. They swapped out the alternator free of charge because it was still under warranty from when it broke a few months ago. The car is running smooth now. Crossing my fingers its stays that way.
