Default Need help in Memphis car problems

Hi guys. I Am in Memphis with my dad in hospital. Baptist Memorial on Walnut Grove. Anyway I was going to head home today but I have a burning smell coming from my car. It could be the belt or oil. I have not had time to check it out yet. It's been one thing after another from going to my parents home in Hernando, MS to feed to cats and finding one sick, had to pick mom up at hosp. Take her and cat to vet. They had to out it asleep. Came back to hosp. Relieved brother so he could take mom home to bury cat. So now I am sitting with dad in ICU til they get back and then I can at least go pop my hood.
Need help guys! If I need to go to a dealership in Memphis where do I go? I am not the best at things under the hood so I am lost. Any and all help I would be so greatful for.

Can be contacted at 901-786-8974. Or 318-447-3344
Lisa

The other Forum member I mentioned, gave her plenty of advise and directed her to his mechanic which was close to the hospital were she was. I hope all's well at this point.

yeah...I talked to her a little over an hour ago. I gave her some directions from the hospital to the shop so I think she's pretty confident now on how to get to the shop. I think the car just needs to get on a lift to be inspected. from her description of the smell I believe it may be a plastic bag somewhere on the exhaust.

Damn Lisa your breaking my heart I had to read your post 3 times to believe if you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all.

Hope some of the gang was able to assist you with service advice to help resolve your car issue.

Hope your father is recovering.

My best to you all. May the kitty RIP.

George

I have texted her several times looking for an update but I hadn't heard back. I hope all is well with Lisa and her vette!!

Turns out I was texting the 901 number. I sent a text to the 318 number and was able to get in touch with Lisa. I contacted a co-worker (another vette owner too and car guy) and he is going to swing by the hospital to look at her corvette. I am hopeful it is something easy as a plastic bag stuck somewhere and not something major.
