People with the coupes have more reason to be worried about loud, obnoxious, droney exhausts. The back cabin will transfer the exhaust sound and that sound will resonate in the back compartment - not so on a convertible.

My Extremes are on a base 08 coupe. Having put a couple hundred miles on it and paying particular attention to drone I don't think it is much worse than the stock NPP with fuse pulled. I think wind noise and tire noise is just as loud...it is noticeable if I listen for it, but it does not grab my attention. I put Bassini catbacks on my wife's 2014 vi6 and that drones worse and that is not bad, my wife does not complain.
I just went for it but I think if you can you need to listen to some before hand you are better off.
