Don't understand why a member would decide to sell you a part then disappear from the forum without explaining the reason with a simple yes or no would work
It is possible people change their minds and are embarrassed to come on and say it. Or, they mentioned it at a club meeting and someone said they'd buy it for X, rather than give it away. All kinds of goofy reasons not least of which is the probable, number one reason: they're too lazy to do whatever---tell you, send it, etc.
I gotta say tho, on here, CorvetteForum, I've had people say they have something and just send them an address and it'll be going my way. And it seems to always arrive. I just had it recently happen with a fellow from Nevada. He and at least one other are two Corvette people I'd like to meet if I ever get to Nevada. Then again, it is winter here, and I feel the need for WARM.

I've been on both sides of this. I offered up something for free and never heard back and I've offered the price asked and never heard back. Sometimes things just happen in life and I won't hold it against, especially when no harm was done.
