Default C6 Base, track set up

I have a 2005 base, 6 speed

I wanted to see what kind of set ups people have found that work best for road racing. Mine is lowered on stock bolts, and I have r-888 tires for the track. LS7 clutch, short shifter, intake and exhaust. The main thing I have been trying to decide on is what else people do for their first few road events.

Z51 sway bars? Z06 sway bars? other brands?
brake set ups that work best?
Any other things that have worked best for people.

Thank you for your time

I've got an 07 base with nothing too fancy and I love it. Upgraded to z51 anti sways, Koni FSDs - lowered 1.25 inches on stock bolts, z51 coolers, z51 brakes, base 2.56 gears, base springs, z06 brake ducts, Firestone wide oval rfts. Not the best tires, but for this suspension set-up the car is neutral (equal amount of under/oversteer when pushed to the limits). The car is extremely predictable and enjoyable on the track.

Not happy with my ceramic brake pads on the track, ceramics are horrible and useless after 1 lap. Also, my drilled rotors look pretty but not happy on the track.

I'm curious about alignment set ups. I'm thinking about adding another degree of negative camber to my OEM GS alignment to get better tire wear especially from my fronts.
What kind of caster, camber, toe in numbers are you track rats running?

IMO - get some stainless lines, some nice motul rbf fluid and save money for consumables (brakes/tires). if you end up getting more into it, your first concern will likely be brake fade from your brake setup and you may look into a larger brake kit to help combat that.

Being that it's a O7, brake lines maybe on the way out and may need to be replaced. SS brake lines are great for racing, but since you have to watch them like a hawk, make be better to just replace them with new rubber lines. Fluid while, Dot 4 with a power bleed, since old fluid boiling point may be too low now.

Upgrading brakes, not so much right now, but do change out to race pads (for the temps that they will be reaching for the tracks you are running) so you don't end up melting your street pads (read breaks are only going to work as the tires you have on the car, since at some point, the tires are going to loose traction under braking, and its the ABS that will be the limiting factor of how well any brake caliper is going to work. If you get to the point that you can start feeling brake fading, then its time to upgrade the braking system.

Ditto on the Z51 sways, and either DRM or Koni shocks. In stock form, the front sways and shocks are not stiff enough, and the front end will want to wash out a lot in hard cornering.

Unless you can wide body the car to get more tire on it, don't go with a Z06 rear sway bar (Z51 and Z06 front sway bars are almost the same). The reason for this is the stiffer sway in the back will cause the front tires to have more bite (over steer), while it cause the rears to have less (car becomes unbalanced, with the back end wanting to kick out long before the front loses grip).
