I have c6 with z 06 rear fender
can I use spacer to make c6 wheels fit nicely under z 06 fender?
if yes what spacer size and where I can find it
Thanks
you went through the trouble of adding the rear wide body, I assume you actually want to fit wider wheels and tires, yeah? why go the spacer route?
this is something you could pretty easily measure too. make a plumb bob and hang it from the edge of your fender and measure out how much further you'd like to push the wheel out.
Yes, you can do that until you can get the correct size and offset wheels.
I used 1.5" adapters for over a year. You need to Google wheel adapters online and you will find some websites that sell them. I think the lug pattern is 5 x 120.4mm.
These should work but confirm it with the website before ordering. 1.25" to 1.5" width will work depending on how flush you want your wheels to set with the fender edges.
How safe are these wheel adapters on 800rwhp cars that see the occasional drag strip? I need 1.25" adapters to make the cup replica wheels fit for a drag set up. Just not sure how safe it is.

it's highly debated. most will say it's absolutely fine. some will say it puts more strain on the wheel bearings and changes geometry. chain-tire shops like discount tire have a corporate rule to not touch vehicles with spacers on them due to potential liability (though some employees ignore it)
I'm on the 'it's usually safe but not ideal' side of the argument.

Spacers putting a more strain on the bearings really isn't debatable. It kinda goes with the laws of physics. Whether or not it puts enough strain on them to be a factor with your particular driving habits is the question. I'm on the safe but not ideal side also.

would never use spacers on the drive wheel of a car on sticky tires with stock wheel studs....it DOES put more stress on the studs...
