I have an 2005 C6 and it has the 2 position memory seats,I think I have programed my number one seat position correctly but when I push the number 1 if adjusts the steering wheel but nothing else.
Can someone please tell me how to properly set this up to work properly?
Thanks,
Jeff
If your car has a manual tranny, remember that you must have the parking brake set when you push the button. If it's an automatic, tranny must be in Park.
Driving position:
To recall a memory position:
. On vehicles with an automatic transmission, press
and release the desired button.
If the vehicle is in P (Park), a single beep sounds
and the memory position is recalled after a brief
delay.
If the vehicle is not in P (Park), three beeps sound
and the memory position is not recalled.
. On vehicles with a manual transmission, when the
vehicle is on, the parking brake needs to be set to
recall the memory position. Press and release the
desired button.
A single beep sounds and the memory position is
recalled after a brief delay.
If the vehicle is on and the parking brake is not set,
three beeps sound and the memory position is not
recalled.
I do have a manual and shifted to reverse like the'05 calls for, emergency brake on,then set seat, steering wheel and mirrors the way I want them, then hold the number one button until it chirps twice.
The exit mode works fine and like I said the steering wheel goes back the position but the seat doesn't.

Something else to check is: will the seat move when you aren't sitting in it? Sometimes the connector under the seat becomes loose (from the last ten years of moving back and forth), and if your seat is all the way down on the rails, it may not move when there is weight on the seat.
That's where mine is right now, and I need to zip-tie the connectors back together.
These are the defective connectors. As mentioned above zip tie them. GM uses a similar defective connector for the air bag and you can use the zip tie method on them also.

Loose connector. Common issue. I find that I can move the seat a little, causing the connector to move, push the button again, and it works. Dealer repaired it once but that only lasted about 6 months. Wiggling and zip tie fixed 75% of the problem.
