Default Passenger Window Issue

Good afternoon All,

I own a 2006 base coupe.

I recently changed the body color top to my clear top for the cooler weather months. I am getting a few strange noises from my passenger window. This is not my first time with this top on the car and I have not had these problems in the past. The clear top was stored under my bed, so climate controlled always.

Noise 1: When I roll the window up all the way I am getting a solid almost clunk into place. The window is not catching on anything on its way in, rather it is almost like it is going up to hard and to easy. My drivers side window does not have this problem.

Noise 2: This noise is in conjunction with the window being all the way rolled up. After the window clunks/slams into place I then get a scratchy creaky very annoying sound that appears to be coming from right where the window goes into the the slot on the top. If I just tap the window button and lower the window ever so slightly the noise goes away. When I say ever so slightly I mean that you cannot see any air between the roof frame and the window.

If anyone else has experienced this or if any one could help I would greatly appreciate any insight.

First try reindexing the windows. Then check between the weather strip on the top. There are screws that mount the two together. It sounds like the window is bumping a screw. Make sure those screws are tight.
