Hi Rocket Riders !!!
I have an opportunity to add a Halltech Intake with an exposed filter to my stock 2013 427 vert , anyone have experience / advice on this addition ?
Thanks , I appreciate all the great info and comments on this Forum

LG recommended the Halltech intake when they installed my LG headers and did my tune. Going on 140,000 miles with no problems. Just wash, dry and oil every 50,000 miles or so.
An air intake is usually one of the first thing many owners decide to change first. There are a few good ones out there in the market place and Halltech is definitely one of them - enjoy!
If you are referring to the MF103 model; as long as you are planning to get the car tuned after installing, it will serve you well. Because of the new location of the MAS (about 4" farther forward of the TB) it's just a matter of time before it will throw a "Lean both banks" code. It took about 15K miles on my GS to react to the MF103 but only a couple of weeks on a friends Z06......I guess it all depends on the state of tune. And Yah, I know, the cars have a learning computer and should adjust over time......not in this case.
Halltech MF103 was my first upgrade to my Z. I could immediately tell the difference sound wise on my first drive out and for the first few months. I could also feel the difference when it was under 3k rpm in 1st n 2nd. I loved it. Then I added my corsa sports and couldn't hear it anymore.
That is exactl what I have on my 2013 427. A Halltech MF103 plus a custom tune. It is a real nice piece. Very easy to bolt on with no modification. If you need to talk to Jim Hall he is a great guy who is more than happy to discuss anything (including installation) with you. Great choice!
Headers next year.
