Default Mirror drops down

The title says it all. Is there a screw or bolt that will tighten the mirror so it doesn't drop down. I have to tip up the mirror every so often.Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Rod

There's three small rods inside that hold the mirror in place. These oem rods bend over time. They need to be replaced with harder stainless steel rods. Do a search. Forum member used to mail these out.

Ditto,

to make the pins get .078 (2mm) piano wire from a hobby shop and cut it into 3 1 inch pieces. .078 piano wire usually comes in 3 foot lengths for a dollar or two
To add, if you need it even stiffer, such as in the case of mounting a radar detector under it, you can use stiffer pins, hence the back ends of 5/64 drill bits (use a Dremil to cut the back section off). Also, you can use A-2 round stock rod, but will need to heat treat the pins to harden the steel.
