C6 vs C7 (Race)
I decided over the weekend to see how the two Corvettes in my stable would do lined up. Both cars started in 3rd out of their power band and just let them go. This was to eliminate tire spinning (mostly on the c6) from the equation.
I'll just say the C7 guys don't know how to take a joke and I posted it up yesterday with a twist over there.
(hint: search posts made by me the past 24 hours)
I'd like to think the C6 community seems to be a little more down to earth and can get a laugh at things. Anyways here's the out come. It was a fun time. Mods in sig below but basically a blown C6 vs stock C7 (Z51).

Why does it say 1/4 mile 0.26 seconds upper left?? It took 26/10ths of a seconds to run the quarter??
I like these run videos but a blown c6 and a stock c7 isn't really apples to apples,but it's a hell of a lot of fun!!

This here is the car using launch control (which I hate on both the C6 and C7 by the way) with a better time. I have yet to duplicate it with my own personal launch technique.

I went over to the C7 section to read this post over there. What a bunch of cry babies. Unreal. Of course a blown C6 will kill a C7 but they are in such denial. It's funny reading the excuses they come up with. Bet they really like the Viper killing the new Z06. Deal with it. That's life. Your bad *** car is not so bad ***.

They actually have a "blown engine club" in that forum. I dont know how many members there are but I'd much rather be a member of the C6 "flying roof club" (I'm not actually) than the C7 "blown engine club".

I just read some of that thread...the lack of humor is amazing.
On the other hand, I guess if one spends the amount of $$$ that they have on their C7, which is a fine car I hope to own one day, they would tend to believe it is indeed the best car in the world and anyone who dares to disagree is a troll.

It say 26.2 seconds for the 1/4 mile and 22.9 seconds for 0 - 60.

The timer starts when the car starts moving from a stand still. If you're leisurely driving it or getting it up to roll race speeds (say 30mph), it will include that time into the 0-60mph clock.
So for example:
Standstill to 20seconds getting up to/driving at 30mph to 6seconds getting up to 60mph = 26seconds clock.
(The same goes for 1/4 mile, he's just driving slowly to get up to roll speeds)
