It's a little difficult for me to sit on the tire that I'm inflating since it's mounted on the car. Linked website is not appropriate for about 99.9% of us.
Truck tires are much more dangerous.
They have a ring which holds the tire on.
The tire should have been in a cage during the inflation.
In no way can this happen to a C6.
Tubeless truck tires don't have a ring. The trucks have used tubeless wheels for quite awhile now, although there are certainly some lock ring wheels floating around. The lock ring must be seated with a hammer while inflating, and those darn racks are dangerous because you can't get to the ring to hit it. I can't see if that was a lock ring style, but he was leaning on it instead of hitting it so, either way a rack would have helped him.
I was a mechanic in the Marine Corps. Any day I saw the drivers changing tires on the 6x6's, I was really glad I chose to be a mechanic.
They all had rings.
Couple years ago I was at Laguna Seca to chear on Team Corvette and was standing around the Michelin Tire tent where they mount their tires for the teams cars who run Michelin. Tire tech told me another supplier there didn't use a cage when inflating their tires to seat the beads for the race teams they supplied for and one blew up.
He chuckled and said they have some cages on order now.

Y'all shoulda seen the Michelin passenger car tire (13 inches IIRC) that they inflated to almost 80 lbs on a steel wheel to see where it was leaking from and dunked it in a truck tank (big thing). Didn't explode. Michelin tire rep said that was a lie, no one could ever do that and not have a phenom explosion. He was wrong.
