Default Repurpose magnetic ride switch?

Can the f55 magnetic ride switch be repurposed into a mild to wild switch? I have dropped the mag ride for coilovers and will have my center console out and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible

it is just a control signal. when you put it in sport, the computer sends a ground signal to stiffen the shocks. the switch can only run low amperage.

So the physical switch cannot be rewired to a mild to wild controller?

Is the mild to wild switch just on/off? If so it would just be a matter of re-wiring. I would think the F55 could be wired to work as on/off. Might have to get creative but I can't imagine it would be that difficult.

Yes it's possible.

If you want a plug-and-play solution, Search for and then PM Ray Kawal. He can certainly fabricate the wiring harness if he doesn't already offer one.

At a minimum he can sell you the connector for the Tour/Sport switch and you can build your own.

Yes, your going to install a 12 volt Electric/Vacuum Controlled Solenoid into the line (under $20)

From there, you going to add in a 12v relay to control the bypass vacuum switch ($5), and use the use the F55 switch to control the relay (or any other switch you want to use to control the 12 volt relay).

Thanks everyone. For anyone looking at this in the future if it will help, I emailed Ray directly and he replied with this. The thread linked earlier also has much more detailed information

Here is my main website:

http://www.kawal.net/vettemods.htm

and on that page you’ll find a link to this page:

http://www.kawal.net/F55%20console.htm

You’ll find a wiring diagram for your F55 switch. If all you want is an “off/on” switch, you can use Pin 12 and Pin 10 if you want to close the switch in “Sport Mode”. If you want to close the switch in “Tour Mode”, use Pin 12 and Pin 7.

Hope that helps.
Now to see if I can figure it all out..
