RocketDawg,
Unfortunately it does not come with clear coat
I was behind a truck that hit a board, I think a 2x12 or so, and parts of it hit my passenger side mirror, leaving a gash a couple inches long. Not sure how deep it is, but I can see black in the scratch (my car is crystal red), so I'm not sure if the black is the primer or the mirror housing itself. Or the black could have come off the piece of wood.
Do you think Dr Color Chip would do the job for me?

I'd hate to say yes or no either way without knowing how deep the scratch is. First I'd check and see how deep the scratch is? Can you post a picture? Thanks.

I have not had much with deep chips although the instruction will tell you that you will need multiple application to cover a deep chip.
On my 2013 Santa Fe I have a deep chip on the front of the hood. I have used three applications and you can still tell that there is a chip there. I think the base kit sells for 39.99. It will have enough paint to do multiple applications.
