Received my notice that parts are in to fix the headlight recall. Does anyone know which GM dealer in the Southwest Fl area is best known for working on Corvettes? (or who to stay away from)
Always tried to do my own work on my vettes and the one time I did go to the dealer they gave me false info.
Went home and figured it out myself. Thanks
I've read of *** Chev in Bradenton, only other one isn't exactly southwestern but Plant City's Stingray Chev., a CF vendor. I also know there's a Venice Corvette club; I'd get in touch with them.
From: Currently somewhere in IL,IN,KY,TN,MO,AR,MS,AL, or FL
I'm going to put the letter in the glove compartment for the next owner. The odds of the low beam headlights not working are extremely low (2 in 1,000) and no one is going to arrest you if you ignore this recall for a while. A recall is good for a free repair forever unless it specifically says otherwise. And if you are unlucky enough to be one of the few people who have this failure, fog lights, DRLs, turn signals, warning flashers, and high beams all still work to get you home if it also happens while driving at night.

Go where the parts are. You will find good and bad at every dealer. I had good luck at Sunset in Sarasota and others have not. They do have a Corvette guy who is good.
