I'm sorry, we can't give you answers to questions we don't understand. Take a deep breath and ask one question at a time. Maybe then we can help you sort this out.

Jesus Christ on a bicycle, if you need to ask what dipped lights are, get a dictionary or buy a horse. As for run on sentences, does belittling someone really make you so superior?? Infantile at best.

Gee, now you just insulted some of us who have never heard of that phrase before. It seems you became exactly who you were lambasting.
"Dipped" is a term used in the U.K. to describe the low beam position of the headlamps on a vehicle. It may be used throughout Europe, too, but I'm only sure abut the useage in Great Britian. Instead of "dim the lights" they would say "dip the lights".

Thank you! That explains why few of us Yanks have heard of it.
Are people intentionally stupid on this forum, or just lazy? Hilariously, it's looking that way more and more. You have the means and desire to log into CorvetteForum, but neither the means nor the desire to simply find out what "dipped headlights" is synonymous with via a simple Google search? And bitching about someone's grammar? Get over yourself, and instead spend that wasted effort on reading comprehension instead of whining about run-on sentence that's easily understood by a 9 year old.
OP, the recall is out there, just be patient and wait for your notice, or fix it yourself/have a dealer fix it, then claim it when you get your notification.

Well the thing is that there are many running threads about this problem over the last month. Even a sticky at the top of this section. The subject could hardly be missed.
For the OP to ask this question is a telltale sign on just how involved he is with the forum.
With the grammar and punctuation used he well get called on it.
Just the nature of things. Maybe not the polite thing but it can be expected behavior.

I did as you said and googled "dipped headlights". I have to admit that after 52 years, I have never heard of low beams being called dipped. I am glad for this forum as I learn something every day!
Mine goes in tomorrow. I lived in Germany for 6 years and never heard the term. We should have given the OP a little more time to respond to the question of what he meant before we jumped him and then explained what is going on with the issue. However to call others idiots for not understanding the term is pretty rude and uncalled for also. None of us on here or anywhere else is all knowing and we should take a breath before judging each other. Just saying!!!

Find one other thread on this entire forum that uses the term "dipped" in reference to headlights. I bet you won't. We all know what the word dipped means. Why look that up on google? Dipped headlights sounds stupid enough to have been a typo to me. It was a simple question that anyone who has never heard of it would have asked. I don't think "intentionally stupid" or "lazy" applies here. Not seeing and reading 50 other threads on here explaining the whole recall thing, however, may be a sign of stupid or lazy. No offense OP.
Just picked up my car from the dealer. The recall was completed. Additionally, they had to replace the trunk lock because the cylinder was defective. No more problems!!!
