Its been 10 years
Geeze time flies. I left the Corvette world when I sold my 2005 black widebody 768rwhp monster. I needed funds to build this:
489 ci stroker, T56, 4 link, cool car.
I've been waiting for the C7 Z06 for a while. In the meantime I almost bought a Viper and seriously considered exotics but the cost of wrenching just rules this poor boy out. The day comes and I gather all my pennies and go look at the C7. I feel nothing. Its an awesome car, but I just don't love it. When I see a C6 my heart literally jumps. Its curvy and beautiful like my wife. The C7 looks like my wife when I bring cars home... angry. Lol, nothing wrong with that, but I like beautiful Jenn not angry Jenn. Guess its the same for me with cars. Don't want to stoke the gen wars, it just is what it is, for me.
So, 10 years later and I'm right back to where I was.
I had to laugh when I got in and the seat sucked. I chuckled at how rather cheap the interior is. I snickered at the super soft GM black paint. I howled when I woke up and the battery was dead. Same stuff, 10 years later. But I love every minute of it.

Congrats on your new ride...the ZR1 certainly WAS the top of the line for the C6. But, I really don't get all the C7 bashing. The C7 is to the C6 what the C6 was to the C5. It is the natural evolution of the Corvette. Of course Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I have driven the C7 and my 08 Vert is a Dinosaur by comparison. In fact IMHO there is NO comparison. The C7 is light years ahead in EVERY way. And, while I am tempted to pull the trigger on a C7 Yellow Vert....I keep hearing and now seeing about the NEW ZR1 Zora mid engine beauty that GM is going to bring to the showrooms in 2017.....

No bashing on my end. I have no misconception about the C7 and its greatness. Just doesnt appeal to me visually. I bet in a few years it might. Same thing with like say a Thunderbird or a 67 Firebird which is almost identicle to my Camaro. Cool car, just dont do it for ME, again visually. I was at Kerbeck about to order a new Z06, but I love the way the C6 looks. Stupid? Maybe but that is what is grand about life, we get to make choices and live with them. If all y'all C7 guys beat up my Z I will bring out the 67 lol. There is just a special place in my heart for the C6. Dont care what is better.
