Do coupes have window indexing? If so be mindful that the glass will catch on the weather striping, and may not seat right until power is restored and the window moved down and up.
and be sure and re-arm your rockets after that James Bond thing activates...

With the engine running and the window down, close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done. Don't forget the other window.
He's just stating what he thinks the correct procedure is and wanting to know if that's correct.
What's confusing about that?
That is correct. My manual was also locked in the car.
Got it done. New battery installed. That leads me to anothewr question.
The voltage gauge was showing 14.4 / 14.5 all the way home with the new battery. Is this what the alternator is putting out, or is it the volts in the battery. Trying to figure what this gauge would show if I had an alternator issue.

That's normal voltage if it's the reading from the DIC while the car is running. In the summer with radiator fan and ac running you'll see it dip to 13.8v.
Also, the windows seem to be working. They drop down slightly when I open the door, then go back up when the door is closed. I thought I would have to reset that after having the battery out.
