While I was waiting at the dealership for the low beam headlight recall to be installed, I went to the showroom floor and there was a fine looking new Black C7 Z06 on display. I could not believe the $107K price on the sticker.
Yep! GM shot themselves in the foot with the pricing on the C7. That's why the market for C6's has rebounded tremendously. Stealerships can't even sell those turds here in the land that time forgot.......2014's been sitting for almost a year now.
Example: 2014 Z51 convertible, priced at $82K........that's ZO6 territory.
OP car must have been optioned beyond belief. I have two friends with C7z's on order. One, modestly equipped, didn't hit $90k. The other, lavishly equipped with, as he said, "Everything" was mid 90's.
I don't know - I know several folks that have already picked up their C7 Z06 - lots of C7's in our vette club - hell my 2011 GS stickered for 72K 4 years ago.
I like both bodies but don't see me selling the GS anytime soon.
And with the price of admission you get the 25% instant same day depreciation! But wait, you also get denials when there is a clear quality issue. There's more. .... to be told you are stupid in a few years because it is now obsolete!
MSRP on a stripped Z06 coupe is just under $79,000. Now will you see one of those at a dealership, I don't think so. But if you order one and the dealer does not do one of the famous $5,000 or more dealer addon due to supply and demand you can get it for that. I bet however that not many have been ordered in that configuration. and that is what you are seeing at the dealerships.
