Black or chrome has everything to do with your age. I'm 56 and came up in the glorious age of muscle cars. Just about everything came with black steel wheels and hubcaps. The cheap alternative to that was baby moons and beauty rings. Then came along chrome Cragar SS 5 spokes. In new parlance, they were the bomb. If you had dough, you had chrome. With that said, I prefer chrome or high polished in nearly every circumstance. I do kind of like torch red with black wheels and accents. My young son in law is googoo over black rims on everything. So, who's your target audience? If it's everyone, you won't get consensus. Do whatever toots YOUR horn and soak up the complements you get. NRBM is an awesome color by the way.

I'm 72, a friend of mine is 67, and another 70. We all grew up in the age of Crager mags, and chrome wheels.
Guess what, we all like black now...it's just a matter of personal taste, not age.

Black on 1 side and chrome on the other. This way whatever mood you're in, just approach from that side. Or if you want them on the drive's side that day, all you have to do is swap them and reset the TPMS. Nobody can see both sides at once so it will probably go unnoticed.

$1400/wheel may or may not be a little high (depending on the wheel) but $1400/4 could be considered a bargain.
