Attach trunk partition

I have a 2006 Vert and for the past couple of years this message would appear periodically when attempting to lower or raise the top. After a couple or three attempts (shut off vehicle, open the trunk, unattach and then re-attach the partition) it would work. For the past couple of weeks and numerous attempts it no longer will work with this method. Prior to bringing it to the dealer thought I'd ask here if anyone has had this problem and come up with a solution.

this happened to me today on my 2010. had to open trunk and unlatch and relatch the trunk partition. worked ok yesterday and partition was attached. anyone else have this issue?

How do you latch and unlatch?

currently dealing with this on my 2012 GS

Snap on-snap off. It's two grommets and posts. There is a switch just to the left of the right (PS) post that depresses when the partition is properly engaged.

That's where I would start.
