I'm new here, and looking for a C6, seems like I found one down in Florida, but it has the split grey wheels, and my wife likes something brighter. What's the best way to get this deal done, keeping in mind that I want to keep my wife. Thanks.
I recently bought my c6 and my wife said the same thing, she liked the car but said it needed chrome rims so I bought the car the found a set of take offs for $500 now I'm waiting for the weather to change so I can bring the car in to swap the rims for another $150. So for $650 I got the car I liked and she got the rims she wanted now we are both happy!
First, thanks for the reply. Second, where did you find the new wheels and what did you do with the old ones? Third, did you ever think, ever, that (when you were younger?) that a girl/woman would even be looking at the wheels on your car if you were driving a Vette?
Every day I learn something new.
I found the rims on Craigslist nice young man had removed and replace with black rims.
I haven't had a chance to do the swap I not sure what I will do with the rims on the car.
I may sell them and come close to breaking even or I may just put them in my shed.
As for my wife requesting the chrome it did surprise me a little but I was glad because I felt the same way My wife likes things a certain way it's the same with my boat. A few weeks ago we were at the boat show and she said she wanted to add underwater light I bought them on the spot they made the rims look cheap! But again I like the way they look so if my wife wants them I good with that.
