Ignition Switch
How hard (and /or expensive) would it be to replace the pushbutton ignition switch in an 05? Reason I ask is mine works fine, but is really scratched up and the markings are almost gone. Is there a DIY on it somewhere? I did a search but did not find much of anything. Thanks in advance.

I refer to it as my stealth switch now, and matches the rest of the black ***** in color, sheen and texture.
Also end up painting the door release buttons as well, and used a small drill bit to pin point drill out the center of the button paint off so they have the dot glow in the dark, just like the factory OEM units.
The rockers/ front plates are easy to remove to paint them, and just spray the coating out of the spray can into a paint brush bottle to have way better control on the paint finishes via the air brush.
Plus with the switch apart to pull the rocker to paint it, you can clean up the contracts on the switch as well.
To add, when you put the rocker switch back in, make sure that both sides clip in correctly. If one side will not seat correctly in the benzel clips, then clip the other side in first, then the later side last.
Also, before you finish snapping in the cluster bezel, make sure that the cabin temp sensor did not pop out and now sitting deep in the bowels of the dash instead. Just shine a light in the vents for the sensor, and make sure you see the blue piece right behind the vent slots.
