Kays locked in 2006 c6 corvette hatchback.is i pressed the black button to make hatch open but it didnt
It didn't because you have to have a fob that's programmed for the car on the outside of the hatch near the black button you press to enter the hatch. Not really a good reason you should have locked both fobs in the rear hatch.
You need to get the Chevy dealer to cut you a key for the rear hatch. You'll need a the car's VIN and I'm not sure what else, maybe some ownership papers.
If you don't have another fob, and, or key, you are (most likely) SOL, w/o getting a key cut at a dealer using the VIN.
Probably your best bet is the vin and dealership method to get a new key cut. Then get another fob and key and program it so you aren't left in the lurch, again.
The key works by it's mechanism cable pulling on this latch on the hatch locking mechanism inside the car trunk area,
So T-15 to remove the passengers inner tail light to get to wire grommet, push the wire grommet in the pass through channel to give you access through the grommet channel, and a tool to push the tab over to the right that the cable is connect to through the grommet hole to open the hatch.
Once you are in, then put a little dielectric grease on the wire grommet and reset it back in the pass through channel.
Or the easier/faster way that most tow truck drivers use, small wedge to wedge the window away from the glass seal without breaking the glass, and just hook a wire on the door manual unlock on the floor of the car to open one of the doors instead.
