Not a big deal, hummmm. How about the $8-1200 to fix it. Removing the rack, radiator, realignment of the front end, etc, etc, etc.
I bought mine knowing the balancer was bad. After research here it seemed like part of owning a C6. Was not a big deal to me. Steering rack has to be moved out of the way but removal is not required. Radiator stayed in place. Use an aftermarket balancer (I used and ATI) or you may have the same problem again.

As to the "no big deal part" I'm sure it's true if you can do it yourself, if not, it will make you about 1k poorer, more or less.
Definitely go ATI if you can. Best HB out there, but there are some other brands with very well built ones too, like Powerbond.
