I drove a modified VW up until recently. It was fast, but nobody would know about it. I rarely got shot with radar. Now I am the proud owner of a 2008 Red Corvette and I get shot constantly! Is this normal or am I paranoid?
I use to have a Torch Red C5 vette. I constantly had radar on me. Red Corvettes are labeled "ticket me Red".. Never again will I get Red. I love the color.
I had a C5 mag red vert. Coming home from work in a line of traffic doing maybe 10 over a motorcycle cop bleeps me. I didn't think anything about it until I hear him comming thinking something was wrong up ahead. Hell no he dives in behind me and get's me for 14 over. I said sure you must like red vettes. Why argue because I know I was getting a ticket when I handed him my licences after being nice by saying hello. He must have not liked Italians in a red vette
Side note:::::
Having gone on "ride a long's" with CHP I want to say that by the time you see them, they have you well ahead of that time period, both coming and going against them, traveling in front of them, in groups also.
Most will let you slide for say 10mph over but after that your nailed, it's their job, but like I said "MOST" not all.
Their radar is very advanced and the judges know it
FYI. I'm sure an official LEO will chime in

Here in N. Texas they usually give you 3 to 4 over, that's it.
With laser they usually have you, but with the old bands I know they are around well ahead of time.
A LEO friend of mine said the general rule of thumb in eastern NC is 9 your fine 10 your mine. Seems to be true as I have never been pulled going through radar when I set my cruise at 64 in a 55 zone. Maybe I could get away with more but I'm not going to test it.
Troopers are usually not that discerning when they are using radar...they shoot at every car as it comes into view...they don't normally see what kind of car it is before shooting...it's just the next car or group of cars. I know that when I drove my Vert home from buying it, 1,700 miles, I was very paranoid and felt like every trooper was watching me more carefully...for the most part, this is untrue.
