informative to me, but in reality didn't they see the curve in the road right about where the power would really be putting it down??

As stated real old video and has been around the block a few times.
This is a prime example of not knowing what these cars are capable of. They will get away from you in a heart beat if you do not know how to drive them. Another good example that street racing is not only stupid but can be dangerous to others. Thee was just a video passing around where a modified Mustang and a a GT-R raced and the driver of the Mustang lost it and killed some people. Take it to the track weather it is the drag strip, autocross or road course, but at least it is off the street.

If you know that intersection (and how upscale the neighborhood is), and just how pouch pedestrian crowded the intersection is most of the year (baby strollers and all), this is not the street/area to screw around on.
Plus add to the fact that its a bend all the way to the interstate, and the traction sucks on that road, lucky that not one was not injured worse.
On the positive note, bank that the police where on scene in about a min, so it did not end well for the drivers,and tickets where handed out by the book full to both drivers.
