Default Small rocks stuck ...

I was detailing my car and found some small pebbles just embedded at the bottom of my driver's side by the rear wheel...I believe it would be the quarter panel?

Anybody else had this issue? What would be the best way to remove these without damaging the car. The passenger side does not have any of these little rocks, just the driver's side.

Need to loosen the screws to remove the pebbles. Once clean you can put some 1/4 in open cell foam weatherstrip between the panels. Open cell is the one that is easily compressed.

Common problem. You might even be able to close up the panel gap. Is it the same on both sides? I bet not.

My 07 has never had this problem, and I am at 146,700 miles of smiles.

Good call on the weather strip. I'd use a compressor / air hose / air chuck and blow them out.

Well-known issue/design flaw. Loosen panel from inside wheel well to create enough space to remove debris. I tried insulation strips inside fender to 'seal' the space where debris enters. I had moderate success.

I loosened the bolts holding the rocker panel on and pulled it down and banged on the fender until the gravel was done raining out. I don't believe it is getting in from the outside, it's getting in behind from somewhere the wheel well doesn't seat well.

mine seems to be a sample of the thousands of yards of sand/gravel they put on our roads all winter. That they don't seem to get cleaned up until July..

My GS doesn't exhibit that problem either. Not one pebble.

They do get in from the inside of the wheel well.

I've had the same problem with both my '10 GS and now my '13 427 Convertible. Problem is worse on drivers side. I too have installed insulation foam strips in the gaps on the front side of the rear fender liners and it has help, but not eliminated the problem. These Michelin PS2s on my 427 are very sticky tires and really pick up the sand and small gravel........... simply amazing the amount of sand and small rocks that comes out of that area after taking out the screws and banging the side of the rocker panel

Be very careful when washing your car. If you pick up some of that debris with your wash mit or rag or whatever you use it could be ugly.

WHEW, I thought what the hell when I first noticed this after getting the car home. I started seeing these little pebbles falling out on the floor of the garage. I tapped the side right above the area and they kept coming, pretty big pile like in the photo. Believe I got most out but I will be doing the insulation trick ASAP

Some people use insulation foam instead of the strip. Rocks come off the tire at the top of the wheel well and work themselves down. If you undo the nuts holding the body panel and shake it, it usually drops most of them.
