Default A6 Paddle Shifter function change?

Has anyone tried changing the paddle shifters to upshift on the pull and downshift when pressing the current upshift button?

This may not be exactly what you are asking for but maybe it will get you down the road...

I wish mine were that way too. Just seems more natural. I recently rented a new Taurus that had paddles like that and I liked them a lot better. Seemed more natural to pull for an upshift and push for a downshift.

I prefer the way the European cars do it. Pull on right paddle to upshift, pull on left paddle to downshift. So much easier that way. Is there anyone that makes a wiring package or has instructions to make that change to an A6 transmission ??

What you are asking sounds like you just want to reverse the operation of the paddles.

The common mod is to have one side as the downshift and the other side as the upshift. I see both mods have been listed. The first one that cost nothing is the wiring mod and the other is the F1 shifter mod. I understand the wiring mod is not that hard and it will save you around $170, then purchase the S2T paddles to complete the mod.

GM finally wised up and set the paddles correctly on the C7.
