Default Driver 2 by default

Every time I get in my 2012 Vette it defaults to "Driver 2". I have to manually switch to "Driver 1". I'm sure it's something easy to change, but I've misplaced my Owner's manual. Can anyone tell me how to get it to default to Driver 1? thx

Correct, It defaults to the fob it reads.
Look at the bottom of your fob, it will say 1 or 2. You are using 2, therefore that is what it will default to. So you need to use fob 1.

Nope...that way if you and your wife (if your married) set up driver 1 and driver 2 settings for each of you, then you carry the fob for your setting, either 1 or 2.

You are correct. Never noticed that tiny little "2" on the bottom.

I am married, but my wife has below average depth perception and doesn't drive it. To me the spare FOB is a backup.

Thanks for the help.

If no one else drives your car, you can change all the driver 2 settings to match driver 1. That way your spare fob will still configure your car for you. That's what I did.

The fob number engraved on the fob means nothing. Just there for your convenience. What matters is what fob number that fob was programmed as when it was programmed for the car. Look at the number engraved on the fob you're using to be sure it has a 2 so you know that fob #2 was programmed as no. 2 ("Driver 2") for the car.

Don't feel bad brother. I've owned a C6 since 2006, and only recently found the FOB's also control the radio settings. Dadburn new fangled things.....

Yes, the drivers settings save all electronic adjustments, seats, steering wheel, side mirrors, a/c, radio, etc.

He meant it will change the radio settings to what was saved for that driver setting, depending if it is fob 1 or 2. Which is why I said it changes ALL electronic settings for that driver setting!
