I am an artist, and after looking at some pics of Optimus Prime, I believe the upper part of his head is just not drawn or airbrushed properly and therefore looks more like a va jay jay. Here is a pic that shows how it should look. This pic would have been much better IMO. The version you have looks more like a cartoon. I prefer a more realistic version like below. But it was a cool idea.

i agree with you 100% I assume most of the blame for the painting being slightly off the best pic I was able to find after printing it off wasn't very clear so the artist did the best he could. sure wish I could have found this pic instead your right it is a much better pic.
so as in artist how would u fix this , redo the whole thing or just go over the dead spot?

I don,t think I would redo the whole thing at this point. I would just fix the area on his helmet and possibly add some more detail in other areas as well. That could be done with a paint brush. If the person you used is a good artist, give him that pic and have him add more detail. Then just put some clear over the whole thing afterwards.
I know that this is a different transformer, but you get the idea how it should look if done correctly. I'm sure that your artist did his/her best, but it just isn't accurate enough to give it that WOW factor. I'd fix it for a couple good cigars if you were local

oh man your right that is really good work very nice.
Very nice and a million times better than before. Almost like the photo posted above, but nice incorporatation of the C6 logo as the eyes. And Chevy bow tie on the forehead.
At 0400 in the morning, I was laughing way too hard at these comments....lol..... And the "Everybody Loves Raymond" episode..... I loved that episode..!!!. OP, that second job looks amazing!
