Default What would you pay for this 08 LS3 tomorrow?

Hey Guys, I'd like to get back into a Vette and looked at an 08 LS3 today.

What is a fair price for the below C6 LS3 with 24,000 miles? It is clean but out of warranty, 6 speed, no Nav or Heads up Display, nice chrome rims, 2 owners, clean Farfax.

They are asking $32,800 and came down to $31,000 + TTL.

A little expensive, you can buy a vert for that price.

KBB says $29,700 - $32,000.

Why would someone want a vert at all?
OP, the price is a bit too high, you could find a similar car for around 29k, but if you like it then go for it!

OP, you have two things to consider.

First, each area of the country is different, so you need to check KBB, or NADA prices for your zip code.

Second, if the car is clean, has the amount of mileage you're willing to accept, is the color you crave, and the features you want, it may be worth a little extra to YOU.

The car in your post would sell for around $30,000 +/- in my area.

It's not what I'd be looking for, so for ME personally, I'd adjust the offering price down to about $27,500, and pay no more than $28,500.

However, if the car is perfect for YOU, it may be worth $32k to you.
Everyone has their opinions about car prices.
Use them only as a broad guide, and then pay what makes your gut feel right.

Good luck!

They say 29700 is fair. I like the 27,000 side of the chart you posted and im basing that on what i paid for my 2008 3LT 2 yrs ago with @19500 miles. At the end of the day if you love that specific car then go in and work out your best deal an be done with it. It is a great looking car.

It would be nice if it had NAV, Heads up Display, Steering Wheel Volume Controls & drilled & slotted roters, but all of that can be added correct?

Can be ordered with 1LT, 2LT, 3LT and 4LT trim packages.
Can anyone tell what Package the car I am looking at is, 1LT?

Nav $500

Heads up Display $425
Well, here again, you need to consider that. If you feel you're going to want to upgrade the brakes, install a Nav, NPP exhaust, HUD, etc., you'd be better off looking for another '08.

You'll be able to find them with all those options, for about the same price, you may end up paying here.

If I was going to pay the high end, say around $32k for that car, it would have to be all I'll ever need, or want, and love it forever.
If I knew I'd eventually add $4k in options I wanted, I'd definitely move on, and look for another 'vette.

Find one with the 3LT package. Sounds like that's what you really want to have. Don't settle.

I had the same decision 3 years ago...saw the exact car I wanted but was a 1LT. I waited and looked around and finally found a loaded really low-mileage '06 with everything. In fact, from the outside, it is the twin of the one in your pictures. You have great taste in cars!

Keep looking. That's half the fun in itself.

That's why it isn't jumping out at me, it's Nice because it's an 08 LS3 with low miles but I certainly would like the Heads up Display & Nav would be nice.

Default Looks like a 1LT

Since there is no Steering wheel controls, I would venture it is probably a 1LT. You could go to look at the glove box sticker to let you know what was built into the car or go to a GM dealer with the VIN and run a VIS which will give you the build info.
Personally, I would recommend buying a used car with as many options as possible since the price difference is usually not that much greater. However, as someone has pointed out, you are the one the car needs to satisfy.

To shoot from the hip, around here that would be a $28,000.00 car. But check asking prices in your area at www.autotrader.com

Christ that's a lot.

I paid about 7 grand more for mine and mine is a '12 GS 2LT 6spd with 6k miles.

I suggest you bargain with them more or find a better buy. Car looks sharp though. Looking at the other cars they got, you know they probably looked over that one before they put it for sale.

There are so many C-6 Corvettes for sale just keep looking until you find exactly what you want. Based on the information provided it looks like $28K would be a fair buy for a low mileage 1-LT car. Always remember you will be the one looking and driving the car every day, take your time and find exactly the car with the equipment and color that you want. Happy hunting.

For reference I bought a 2008 coupe z51, 2lt, npp w/ 2900 miles in Oct. 2010 for 33.5+tax (from a dealer) and sold it with custom wheels and other tasteful items added at 12k miles in Jan-2014 for 32K

I think its overpriced/

I think the info provided above is good advice but have you completed your homework on this car? Did you read AutoCheck, CarFax, and the VIS (actually IVH) at any GM service dept. based on vin, for free? For all you know these are "hurricane" or re-titled vehicles. If not, what do you know about this car other than the pics, text and maybe a visit to look it over? From what I can see it is a 1LT (could be wrong) with no options except possibly chrome wheels ,but they could be aftermarket repops. Note that in those years, '08, 9, 7 etc. these base cars with no or one option were selling for $38.9K to $39.9K, for real. After 8 years, even with low miles....
