When I think bolt-ons I'm thinking stuff like CAI, full exhaust, throttle body, intake and a tune. That sound about right? Nice performance by the way.

Pretty close. Thanks for the kudos.
Vararam, LG Streets headers with Z06 mufflers, stock TB, ported IM, 4000 Yank, and tune to be more exact.
Still runs well for a 124K mile DD.

MT 275/45/17's on C5Z front wheels. I have a set of 295/45/17's ready to go on after these are burnt up. They hooked well enough to break an axle... and side diff cover... and bell housing at the track.

Front GTO spares with 185/55-17 M&H Racemasters with spacers.

Rears are C5 Wagon Wheels with 26x11.50x17 MT ET Street bias plies.

You're using radials on the front and bias ply on back and I'm just the opposite only lighter weight. Those wagon wheels are only 8.5" and the MT's show 11" as the norm for wheel size and 9.5" tread, yet the pic doesn't look like a lot of crown. I'm curious about how that launches. What kind of 60' times are you getting?
Also, how does your's handle at the high end? Mine does fine now with the M&H, but I think I'll be looking at the 27.5" Hoosiers when the M&H wear out.

I've been running skinny radials up front and bias plies in the rear for years without any issues. Current car is stable up to 135mph. (Top of fourth)

Only some street launches thus far, I'll report drag results within a couple weeks when I get to the track. Leaves fine on the street.

I toiled over getting bias or radial on the front. For my use, radials fit the bill. Bias will wear out quickly driving to and from the track. This is a common combo.

Went with a rear bias ply because I am a stick car. Bias plies are more consistent, and easier on parts. And I'm not sure why MT uses an 11" rim for the measurements on the 17" bias ply. They use a much narrower rim for the other 11.50 ET Street measurements. 8.5" is plenty for a 9.5" tread width.

I wondered about that 11" wheel for the MT's too and that's one reason I bypassed them.

My racing friend wore out his M&H bias skinnies in roughly 1,000 miles to and from the track. Since I change at the track, I should be good for at least 500 passes.

Just a thought here. Swapping to (temporarily even) base brakes will save you 15# plus the wheel adapters and could be the difference to getting that 10 second slip.

Tire sizes and available compounds are severely limited at and above 18". It's hard enough with the selections at the 17" size. Every little bit of sidewall helps the launch.

Are you using a spacer? What size and where you got it from?

I have a base car with base brakes. It went 11.009@128 with 3.42s and full front wheels with NT05R radials.

Since then I've added 4.11s, and the above wheel/tire combo. Looking for 10.7x before going to flex fuel.

I'm not sure on either. It came with the wheels. I paid $125 for the wheels and spacers.

No worries, I was just curious. It looks to be around 1" or so. I like the flush look.

It's at least a 1.5" spacer. I'll measure them and let you know.

Ya, thats for sure. Im just looking for a setup thats very close to the stock rear wheel height. With 17's, it's about impossible to find something thats close without it being a fully dedicated track tire. Im looking for a setup that I can leave on during the summer months without my TC or AH going nuts everytime I go cruise

With base brakes you don't need the spacer. I assumed you had J55 brakes because of the spacer. Take it out, since that much weight means the difference between 11.009 and 10.999.

Pretty sure you'll easily see 10.8's and with good air a bit more.
Dialing in that 60' is the key.
