Dash cams?
Works better than my GoPro hero 3
There are other threads on here in regards to this post. Search bar works great

Plus, you can never tell what you might catch on camera. In Russia, it was dash cams that caught the meteor going through the atmosphere and exploding a couple of years ago.
I went with the Street Guardian very small, stealthy and very good customer service.

Works great.
Look up Crazyassscotman on YouTube to see the quality of the camera.
After seeing the quality of his videos I decided to go with the same one he has.
Oh, I just checked and it's a Hillary Cam. It automatically deletes any driving discrepancies made by the vehicle it is installed in.

While the laws may be on our side, it is nice to have some healthy evidence on your side in case anything happens.
As mentioned above, https://dashcamtalk.com/ is a great resource for finding a cam you like. The forums have even more info and many new models not yet updated on the main page.
I bought a Innovv C2 while waiting on the development of a more discrete camera by the same people who make Street Guardian. If I had to buy one today for under $150, I would probably go with the Innovv C3 with Capacitor. Batteries in a hot car are an extra risk, and more manufactures are noticing this. The profile in the window is extremely small due to the remote camera. Over $150, I would go with one of the Street Guardian cams.
I am still waiting on the Street Guardian /GuardTrak people to release the set up I want.

I was hit head on while riding my motorcycle a couple of years ago by an 85 year old man that didn't see me. He claimed I was driving way over the speed limit. If witnesses hadn't stuck around it would have basically been his word against mine. The camera is cheap insurance and well worth the money.
Dash cams are cheap insurance. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

Well, I've had great luck with insurance claims. It's the law, you pay them hoping you don't wreck. They gladly take our money to the tune of billion$ also hoping we don't wreck, however, they are required by law to pay when sh*t happens.
As I said, the law is on our side. Good luck living every day like a paranoid doofus wearing a tinfoil hat. This isn't Russia, dash cams are a necessity there. Here? Totally unnecessary.

I've wanted to hard wire mine as well but wasn't sure how. Did you cut off the cigarette lighter end or make up your own wiring?
Thanks.
