What does "don't work" mean though? They couldn't program them to the car? I had mine replaced at DT too and they had trouble with one of them. They had to break the bead on the tire and put to tool almost right against the sensor before it would program.

Buy the Ac Delco OEM's from amazon, and have them installed when needed (when the old ones dies).

The aftermarket TPMS sensors last around half as long before the batteries in them wear out.

Discount Tire put 4 new TPMS in my 2005. They were gray in color and cost $60 each. They said programming was very easy. They said some corvettes require the use of a magnet to program.

They said they won't register? If that means program so be it. I asked them repeatedly if they have the tool to use to make them work and they said yes (I guess they would have to as they also sell their own brand).

The did put my old ones back in which are still working but are 10 yrs old.

Just brougt my 4 wheels and 4 new Delco sensors that I bought on Amazon to the local tire guy, he put the new sensors in and rebalanced the tires and charged me $100.00.
I put them on the car and had them programmed to the computer in 10 minutes.
Total cost including sensors $340.00. I think that's a pretty good deal.

I got the recommendation for these Orange ones from several members of this site. I will look into this more next week.

The Orange TPMS sensors work great!

Are you sure you bought the correct ones ... They changed somewhere around 2009-2010 from one P/N to another.

picked the part # off of a link to Orange's website-also verified it from some members here-thought I would try and call Orange Monday just to double check it.

What exactly is the part number on the part and what part number did you order, and from whom?
The reason I ask, other than Turbo6TA's comment, is that an order through Amazon or Ebay has been known to be processed by a third party who had stock that was mis-marked.

I've also heard, but not confirmed, that the USA distributor has closed their doors. Possibly due to the lack of good quality control by the manufacturer. I suspect Titan is importing their sensors from the same manufacturer, but recognized the QC problem and may be doing their own in-house QC. Without checking deeper into corporate info, it's also possible that Titan was created to transition into the replacement for Orange, since the product line is nearly identical and they're the only sensors I know of that are clonable.

BTW, the guy at Discount should have be able to determine the battery level, the ID code, and the communicating frequency. 2005-2009 Vettes are 315 Mhz.

Not everyone has had problems with the 'Orange' TPMS sensors.

Mine have worked flawlessly since they were installed July, 2011 ... and continue to work fine.

Op just stated that is OEM are 11years old (car built in 04, sold in 05), and still working fine.

Do you really think that your going to get that many years out of an after market TPMS, and when you can get OEM for the same price as an after market unit that has to be cloned to first work?

Just to bring you up to speed on these aftermarket sensors.
OEM sensors cost 20-40% more than aftermarket, depending on the source. The aftermarket Orange Electronics/Titan can be cloned, but it's not necessary. The OEM sensors cannot be cloned. The service life on all sensors is related to the functions and times of access, not a calendar.

Don't restrict yourself to thinking about just the 4 wheels currently on the car. By cloning, wheels used for summer, winter, snow or racing, etc can be swapped back and forth without the need for reprogramming.
