Default Header Problem

Has anyone install LG headers on a base C6, and had problems with the passenger side install. Mine is making contact with the floor pan and is up against the bell housing and trans mission lines. I know that I need some clearance for movement and flexing. Just looking for some advise/information on what needs to be done to correct the issues. The headers are new not used. Plan on contacting the vendor on Monday. Any feed back is welcomed. Thanks

gotta drop the cradle down about an inch. Mine were the same way, I tried every damn orientation possible, called LG and the tech immediately said to lower the cradle. Sure enough it slipped right in.

So did you get them installed? I've had the LG SuperPro 1 7/8's on mine for about 9 months now, and really like them. they gave a good bump in power too. Everything else on mine is factory stock, except for the headers and tune.

Just 1 7/8" headers w/o tune is lower lines, and with tune are upper lines.

I know with the installed American Racing headers the passenger side floor pan had to have the seam lips hammered up to not rub.

I don't know about the headers, but the wheels are made in China. So much for "American". Not really a surprise. the Chinese corporations have been buying up american companies left and right to "improve" their image because of all the quality fiascos over the years. They know they have a reputation for crappy quality. So this is how they fix it.

Ragging on Chinese made product seems pertinent to his issue of header fitment...
Considering you can speak with Lou himself, the owner of LG (which doesn't sound very Chinese) on this very forum maybe you should discuss your proclivities with him.

Back in days gone by, when only American made headers were the "thing," I recall many that had to be "pinged" or whatever it was called with a hammer and nail so that it fit. Every car is NOT a precision instrument with tolerances in the body, engine, chassis, trans areas of 0.00001" or mm. So, adjustments are needed. It has little to do with where it's made because Headers by Doug, Doug Thorley, Stahl, Hooker, etc. were all the same on any given car. And maybe especially Hedman (not knocking them just stating what I saw/experienced).
