Default caliper decal question...

Isn't the Corvette letters and the circles on my GS brake calipers a decal that is replaceable? The reason I ask is that my car came with the gray brake rotor option, which I like, but it has black lettering, which is almost invisible on dark gray! So I would like to put either white or silver text on them since I have silver rims and white stripes. The next obvious question is, can I remove the old ones, or should I put the new ones over them? Any usable advice would be appreciated.

Yes, they are decals. I've read here that using brake cleaner to clean the calipers also attacks and removes the decals.

GM doesn't service those decals. A couple of sources that have been mentioned here are:
fourthcircledesigns dot com and tunerdecals dot com.

Here's just one discussion:

They are painted and will come off with brake cleaner and/or if you happen to experience a brake fluid leak on the track.

The vinyl stickers referenced above work well. Recommend using a high temp clear coat over them as well. I've had a good experience with VHT's high temp clear.
