I tried to start my c6 and got the message that the fob was missing. It wouldn't start but the aux turned on the dash lights and running lights. I went and retrieved the other fob and found the doors locked and the new fob would not open them. I opened the trunk with the key and released the drivers door. Still could not start car or turn off the lights.
I went out and bought new batteries for the key fob but still nothing.
Now when I closed the drivers door the window went halfway down. Using the trunk release unlatches the door only slightly and cannot be opened. I don't know how I will even get the car towed to the dealership. HELP!
Most likely you have a dead battery. You can still open the door. Just pull it. The window is tucked under the roof weather strip but it will flex enough for you to open the door.
However you get in, get in and open the hood and put a charger on the battery.
Have someone else pull on the door while you pull the release in the trunk. If you have a coupe, then you also can crawl all the way in and pull the floor release for either door.
Thanks for all the replies. After about 30 minutes of trying I finally was able to get the door release handle by the drivers side seat to open the door. Put a charger on the battery and everything works now. Letting it run for a while and then going for new battery.
