I have a stock 2010 vert (except for Chuck Cow tune) and wondering what the best air filter option would be to replace the original GM filter. I have used KN in the past as they were actually cheaper than the stock GM filters in Canada. Chuck mentioned that he was finding the KN oil in intakes on a regular basis and this caused me some concern.
If you remove some of the excess oil on a K&N that comes from factory pre-oiled, you'll be fine with them. But, there is nothing wrong with a GM paper air filter.

I agree....
If you're unwilling to change the intake, the stock filter is fine.
Avoid oiled filters unless you live in a VERY dusty area like on a farm or something.
Green (Used by VARARAM) is always a good choice.
HOWEVER, If we've tuned the car and it's running well, even something as changing the brand of the filter can
mess up how the car runs. If you have an AutoCal please be sure to make a Datalog and call me to let me know
