Default Jacking Procedure

Where can I obtain a "cross beam adapter" as shown in the "How to Jack Up Your Vette? I could build one, but it seems like a lot of work for a seldom-needed item.

Google it, lot of places sell them. I purchased mine at Harbor Freight. Didn't work very well with the Corvette however, to heavy and thick to work with. I ended making one from wood, then made a better one from box steel specific size for the Corvette. Made one for the rear and one for the front. Works much better.

I literally just got done using a basic 2x4 on the rear crossbeam to put the back on jack stands. Worked absolutely flawlessly.

I use two lengths of 2" x 6" X 23" screwed together to form cross beam.
Marked center placed over jack saddle and you are in business.

I used 2x6's for awhile. Worked well. Bored one day and made these out of some 2x4 box steel I had. Center round plate on bottom for the jack craddle, vertical dowel on the top side helps line the beam up as I push the jack between the two jacking points. Bottom wood pads on the ends are for the jack stands
