CD Initializing message
Had to replace the battery today for a no start, on my '05 Coupe. After the replacement, I now have "CD Intializing" message on the radio display. Also all four tire pressures read zero. The car starts and runs fine. Any ideas if these problems will clear up after a while? Thanks in advance.

O for the tire pressure is fine. After you drive the car for a few miles, the TPMS in the tires will send a signal to the RCDLR so the DIC will display the correct tire pressure. It's the XX that you never want to see instead (TPMS batteries either dead and the tpms needing to be replaced in the tires, or the TPMS needing to be relearned to the car.
The Radio message is just the Nav system relearning the nav map in it/relearning the CD's in it when the battery was reconnected.
Hence all is fine.
As for the battery replacement, now would be the time to go through the battery and alternator cables to make sure that they are cleaned and greased. The vet has a hard enough time keeping the battery fully charged when the cables are all making a clean connection, and the worse the connections get, the faster you will chew through batteries.

If that does not solve the problem, then kick all the CD's out, unplug the negative battery cable for a few mins to reset the entire car, then go back to loading the CDs back in.

Kick all the CD's out, then reload them. The message should only stay on for a few seconds once all the CD's are loaded, and your radio may think that it's still in adding CD mode instead.

I disconnected the neg. battery cable for about 15 min. The radio is back to normal with no CD message. I'll take it for a ride this afternoon to see if the TPMS comes back. Again, thanks for your help!Pete
