Very sad indeed.

I have no sympathy for the driver. He will, hopefully, get what he deserves, hard time and lots of it.

No way he should be allowed to live.

Yeah, you're probably right. I hate paying for dirt bags to live, but it would hurt him a lot more to sit in a cell forever and think about what his life could have been like. Unfortunately, he'll probably get a total of 14 and be out with good behavior after seven.

Depending how much $$$$ this POS can afford on legal council will determine the sentence he gets, probably NOT what he deserves !!..

It's been just over 10 years since I got the phone call letting me know that my fiance' would never come home again thanks to a drunk driver. My life changed forever that night. To this day is still struggle with how I feel about the driver of the other car. He died in the accident as well. I never got the chance to look him in the eyes and tell him exactly what I thought of what he did. But....I know he will never get to enjoy another day on this planet.

Please....whatever you do...don't drive drunk.

This was pointed out to me in the C7 forum. It looks like the driver of the C7 Stingray was a member of Corvette Forum. Here is the profile.

I know a lot of you guys will think I am a punk but I have never had my vette over a 100 on a public road. I just dont want to hurt anyone. I know you dont have to be going over a 100 for bad things to happen but you get my point. And please dont drive after drinking. I have been hit buy a guy who was so drunk he couldn't get out of his car when the officer asked him to step out. Things like this don't need to happen. Be safe out there my friends.

It said that he posted his $350,000 bail, so you're probably right. I'm thinking maybe put him in a room with the husband/father before sentencing, save the taxpayers a ton of $$$. Never happen though, but we can dream.
