Default Wondering Why

My rear hatch lights have not worked since I picked up the car in Feb. Today I finally went out to see about replacing the bulb(s). Imagine my surprise when I pulled out the lens covers to find no bulbs in either light! Why would someone remove both of these bulbs?

Anyway, LED replacements have been ordered.

Weird I tell ya!

Default two possible guesses

1. Kept them as spares (Vette Owners can be hoarders)

2. Showed it and didn't want to drain the battery

3. No idea

Previous owner probably had led's in there and took them out when he sold and didn't have the originals to put back in.

P.O. carried dead bodies in there and didn't want them to show when he opened the hatch to mess with them by the side of the road.
