Default Help needed
I have just purchased a 2005 vert 6 speed and the DIC thinks it's an automatic. It tells me to put the car in park and step on the brake to start it. I was told this was done to eliminate the steering column lock issue. I installed the steering column lock eliminator kit and would like to switch it back to a manual transmission.

How do I go about doing this?

I've never heard of an M6 thinking it was an A4 (or A6) under any circumstances. That's weird.

I know - I can't find anything on how to get it back to manual. My last resort is to stop by the local dealership

can you post a pic of the dic showing the message and a pic of your shifter? sounds like you have a transvettite.

Yes, it starts and BTW = I didn't put the suede covering on the console - very ugly! Trying to find a carbon fibre replacement

Any suggestions?
