Well son, that's about as disrespectful as you can get. Not your plate........your attitude. One of these days, some veteran bikers or someone else who happens to value this country is going to have a go round with your car. I can almost guarantee it. And if you think it's amusing, it's not. BUT it's your right to do it and that's what so many citizens have died for. So you can express your "contempt" for this country.

BTW, not my car/plate. Owned by a well respected member of our community, as well as a weekly host of a giant "Bike Night" in our area. But I still stand by my original statement, I could care less about other's opinions on how America is spelled. There are many other things to get angry about these days. I made an exception today, but I really don't have the time or energy to feed the trolls, go watch Jesse Ventura's television show.

Well pops, that is about as ignorant of a statement that I have seen in quite awhile. You have zero knowledge of my military history. Yet you opined that I have "contempt" for this country? I apologize if your jingoistic attitude takes offense to my opinions towards how people choose to spell AMERICA on their license plates.

It is my car that the MERCUH plate is on. Did anyone maybe take into consideration that I might not be the only person that wanted America on his/her license plate? America was taken along with several other spellings. I guess since my name is victor I should be upset if someone calls me Vic? Lt. Dan I have a lot of pride in my country and more in my state. By the way Lt. Dan (A.K.A. USA1 427), I love your 60th anv. addition. Mine is the 50th Z06 and I purchased my wife a 1973 (which would be the 20th Anv.) to cruise around with. When Texas offers the 7 letters on the plates again I will be ordering MISSUSA. Do I need to worry about the bikers going round with her car after?
