Default Interior LED Light Problem???

About 2 mo ago I installed the LED lamps in the foot wells, glove box, hatch lights, license plate lamps, and the map lights. Last night I happened to go into the garage without turning on the lights and noticed a very dim glow coming from the map lights.

It appears that both maps lights are on, but very dim. I checked to see if the interior light switch was on, it wasn't, tried changing the dimmer setting without turning them on, no effect, and checked the map light switches, they appeared to work properly,

I haven't done much night driving since the LED lamps were installed so I don't know if this has been going on since I installed them, or this is something that has just started.

It hasn't been driven in about 2 weeks and when I drove it Saturday it started right up.

What am I overlooking?

I think they all do that. Mine do, but it is very faint. No problems with battery drain.

It is normal with the leds. There have been other posts about it and op said same. I put mine in about 6 months ago and after reading a similar post went out in the dark garage and sure enough. The drain is insignificant and will not cause any problems,

Some do it, some don't. My 2010 did it - had no issues with the battery. My 2011 doesn't do it at all.

It does that because the LED's have no resistance.

I had the same issue. I just soldered a 1500 ohm 1/4 watt resistor across the tabs (in parallel) on one of the foot well leds and that solved the problem. No more glow. Put the resistor on the side that faces up so there is room for it.

You could also leave one of the stock bulbs in a footwell to solve the problem.
