My top is starting to squeak pretty bad! Anybody know how to fix? It sounds like it's coming from my driver side, I tried to tighten all the bolts nothing seems to work. Thanks
turning the J hook on the back of the panel one turn worked for me. will need to loosen the alan screw first then use a wrench to turn j hook. Before that i tried the o rings and grease but that didn't work.

The thing that worked for me was to shrink wrap the two pins that secure the back of the rood. That is a metal to metal connection and the wrap eliminated my noise. $5 fix that took about ten minutes to complete.
10' GS. Added an extra O-ring on the two back pins. And rubbed a thin coating of dielectric grease on all rubber and front latches. Haven't heard a squeak in years.

O-ring and the cleaning process shown in the link worked for me ('09 Coupe). Its seems everyone has to try couple different methods to find the one that works for your car since there doesn't seem to be one simple cure.
my fix was 2 eclips. One on each of the rollers on the front latches. seems to do the trick for mine. I have not tried the o-rings or the heat shrink resolutions yet. My noise has always came from the front latches.
I did this last October and the noise did come back. Took the roof off, moved the eclips around and put the roof back on. no noises.

Need to work on mine. Mine doesn't squeak or rattle, it has a loud metal creak/pop when the car flexes from bumps in the road or entering driveways. It seems to be right where the top meets the A pillar on the drivers side. Sometimes I can push on the A pillar and it will do it.
Where did you buy the E clips? Did you put them on the front post or back post? Where do you buy the shrink rap, and how do you do the process?
You can get the clips and the shrink wrap at Home Depot or Lowes
The clips will be in the hardware area. Usually in drawers with the specialty stuff. They go on the front latches. Push one in next to the little roller.. You will need one clip on each latch. There is a small gap there that the clip fills.
The shrink wrap is in the electrical department. It goes on the metal pins in the back of the roof. Cut it to length, slide it over the pin and heat it with a lighter or a match. It only takes a couple of seconds and it will shrink up tight. It is normally used on electrical splices instead of wire nut or electrical tape.
Anyway, both the clips and the wrap will cost under $10 and the repairs can be done in 10 minutes.
